katze & krieg

Founded in 2007, the performance duo Katharina Sander and Julia Dick, katze & krieg, work together on performative interventions in everyday public spaces, questioning the existing conventions and establishing new practices. They create utopia and try to turn it into an everyday reality through the medium of performance, which they use to create an unmediated experience for both themselves and their audience As part of ARENA 2009, the duo wowed the audience, jury and team with their performance, Roadtrip, which journeyed through life and to the birth of paradise. Interventions on public transport are planned for ARENA 2010, looking at car pools, different travel destinations and routes, and where modes of transport terminate. The project is currently working to the title of „Die letzte Fahrt“ (The Final Journey) and will be appearing at the Braunschweig Theatre Festival.
